Reasonable Modifications
Home » Reasonable Modifications
West OC Chiropractic will consider reasonable requests to modify its normal policies, practices, or procedures when necessary to provide meaningful access.
A requested modification may not be provided if it would:
- Fundamentally alter the healthcare service.
- Create a direct threat to health or safety.
- Violate applicable law.
- Compromise clinical or professional standards.
- Violate another person’s privacy or rights.
- Create an undue financial or administrative burden under applicable law.
When a request cannot be granted, we will attempt to discuss other reasonable options.
Patient Forms and Information
Upon request, West OC Chiropractic will make reasonable efforts to provide patient-facing information in an accessible format or assist a patient in reviewing or completing forms.
Requests should be made as early as reasonably possible, especially when document conversion or specialized assistance may be needed.
Nothing in this policy changes requirements concerning informed consent, identity verification, medical documentation, privacy, or the accuracy of healthcare forms.
Physical Office Access
West OC Chiropractic seeks to maintain reasonable access to office areas used by patients and the public.
Individuals with questions about parking, entrances, elevators, restrooms, treatment tables, mobility access, or other physical concerns are encouraged to contact us before their appointment.
Some portions of the property may be owned or controlled by a landlord, building owner, or property manager. Certain physical-access concerns may therefore require coordination with a third party.
Temporary Disruptions
When reasonably possible, we will notify affected individuals of planned or unexpected disruptions involving an accessibility feature or service.
Notice may be provided through our website, telephone, email, text message, office signage, or direct communication.
The notice may include the affected service, expected duration, and available alternatives. Emergency situations may limit our ability to provide advance notice.
Staff Awareness
Personnel who interact with patients or the public may receive information or training appropriate to their responsibilities regarding:
- Respectful communication.
- Responding to accessibility requests.
- Service animals and support persons.
- Mobility and communication devices.
- Alternative communication methods.
- Patient privacy.
- Reporting accessibility concerns.

Ongoing Review
We may periodically review website content, online forms, images, videos, documents, office procedures, and reported accessibility concerns.
We may also update this policy as our services, technology, accessibility standards, and legal obligations change.
Policy Limitations
This policy describes West OC Chiropractic’s accessibility goals and procedures. It does not create contractual rights or expand legal obligations beyond those required by applicable law.
The use of an accessibility widget, overlay, plugin, or similar tool may assist users but is not a substitute for accessible design, testing, remediation, reasonable modifications, or alternative access.
Policy Availability
A copy of this policy may be requested by contacting our office. We will make reasonable efforts to provide it in an alternative format upon request.
